He Loves Her, He Loves Her Not?

Roses On Valentine’s Day?

I overheard a story recently, about a woman whose husband would always give her roses and candy for Valentines Day. The problem is she would receive the roses and candy the day after Valentines. When she asked her husband why he did not give her roses and candy on February 14th, he responded:

“Roses are Red, Violets are Blue ,  I get the candy half price and the roses too”.

She was very sad until he reminded her, that although she received the candy and roses the next day, on Valentine’s day she would always receive her  favorite bottle of expensive wine and a card.  He went on to explain to her that the money he saved by waiting a day on roses and candy, provided the funds to get her special wine.  Unsure of how to respond, she just looked at him and shook her head. What should she say?  Should she be upset or understand that she is receiving 2 gifts for the price of one?
