At Age 58, David Copperfield Still Wowing Audiences

Do you remember the first time you saw a David Copperfield magic trick? Mr. Copperfield born, David Seth Kotkin; September 16, 1956 is an American story teller and illusionist.  An illusionist  is someone who can deceive another by producing a false or misleading  impression of reality.

David Copperfield has been named by critics as the  greatest illusionist of the current time. For decades, he has shown his magic on network television events, world tours and on Broadway.  As with most magicians, they don’t share their magic secrets but in a recent interview, David revealed details of a simple trick.

At age 58, David is the proud father of a 5 year old daughter named Sky. He is an only child and revealed to Oprah on a 2012 episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter, events from his childhood that shaped his life today. He spoke about childhood abuse and how he would dream about flying and use his imagination as an escape from reality. Over the years, his magic tricks have left audiences speechless and amazed. Some of these tricks include flying, walking through the great wall of China and making the Statue of Liberty disappear, yet he revealed to Oprah that he has a fear of getting married. See here.
